THE HEART OF EGOHOOD

Meet Our Founder

A vision for impact, rooted in trust and community leadership.

EGOHOOD was born from a deep-seated passion for youth empowerment and a vision to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity. EGOHOOD stands for Economically Growing Our Neighborhoods.

Founder Jasmine Jackson’s journey began as a young licensed hairstylist who launched her own business with determination and ambition. Along the way, she faced several challenges, including filing business information incorrectly with the Secretary of State. Each mistake cost time and money to correct, and many who initially offered support were not there when help was truly needed.

Through these experiences, Jasmine realized that many aspiring entrepreneurs especially youth and individuals in underserved communities face similar obstacles when trying to bring their ideas to life. Determined to make a difference, she founded EGOHOOD to help others start and grow their ventures the right way.

Today, EGOHOOD provides mentorship, resources, and programs that empower rising visionaries to transform bold ideas into thriving opportunities. Through every initiative, we remain dedicated to building a future where young dreamers have the tools to succeed and lead with purpose in their neighborhoods.

In addition to her entrepreneurial journey, Jasmine Jackson brings a strong background in STEM education and youth development. As an educator and community leader, she is passionate about creating hands-on learning opportunities that prepare youth for future careers in science, technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Her experience in education continues to shape EGOHOOD's programs and commitment to empowering the next generation.
